Altendorf at Indiawood 2026: 120 Years of Altendorf – 15 Years of Altendorf India
- Press releases
Bengaluru, 28.01.2026
Altendorf celebrates a double anniversary in 2026: 120 years of Altendorf and 15 years of Altendorf India. Since 2011, the Indian subsidiary has supported woodworking businesses across the country with machinery, technical expertise and an expanding service network. Both anniversaries shape this year’s INDIAWOOD appearance – with a strong focus on practical solutions and technologies designed specifically for the everyday requirements of Indian workshops.
From pioneer to the craftman’s best friend
Under this guiding principle, Altendorf presents machines and digital solutions that are easy to operate, developed from real workshop applications and refined in close collaboration with users.
“This double anniversary is an important milestone for us. For 15 years, we have grown together with our customers in India and continuously aligned our machines with their practical requirements. That is why we are excited to present several advancements at INDIAWOOD – the new F 30 sliding table saw (improved WA 8), the F 35 sliding table saw and our Altendorf edgebanding solutions of the F- and K-Series.
With our NEXUS IIOT platform, we are also introducing a digital workshop solution that makes maintenance and transparency significantly easier in day-to-day operations.”
Shyam Krishnan, Managing Director, Altendorf India
F 30 – Further development of the WA 8, live in India for the first time
The new Altendorf F 30 format panel saw is the further development of the well-established WA 8 series in India. It transfers the core strengths of the WA 8 into a modernized machine with added functions and improved operating convenience. Visitors to INDIAWOOD will see for the first time how the F 30 increases precision and efficiency in everyday cutting workflows.
F 35 – Versatile, precise, IIOT-ready and easy to use
Showcased will also be the F 35 panel saw – a versatile machine that brings together smooth running, reliable cutting performance, ergonomic operation and intuitive controls. The F 35 will be presented in multiple configurations, each tailored to different workshop requirements: from solid all-rounders for everyday cutting tasks to variants optimized for reproducible precision cuts and heavy-duty models designed for continuous, high-demand use.
All configurations are prepared for integration with the Altendorf’s NEXUS IIOT platform – enabling workshops to gradually expand their digital capabilities with real-time machine data, remote support and improved connectivity.
Edgebanding solutions – Efficient, precise, and digitally future-ready
A major highlight at the show will be Altendorf’s advanced edgebanding solutions – tailored for both craft workshops and industrial production environments. These machines combine high process reliability with clean, reproducible results and smart features that make a measurable difference in day-to-day use.
The updated models have been redesigned with one clear goal: to make edge processing easier. From faster heat-up and preparation times to intuitive touchscreen control, every feature supports easier operation and smoother workflows. Key benefits include modular cassette systems for fast material changes, tool-free motor replacement for the corner rounding unit, and a sensor-controlled double trimming system for consistent precision. RGB and LED status indicators enhance visibility, while the 15-inch touchscreen with 3D visualizations offers simple, user-friendly navigation.
All models are already prepared for seamless digital integration through the Altendorf’s NEXUS IIOT platform – enabling enhanced connectivity and long-term efficiency.
Live demonstrations at INDIAWOOD will showcase all core edgebanding steps at the booth.
HAND GUARD – Now even more intuitive – for greater safety in everyday workshop use
The AI-supported safety assistance system for panel saws will be presented with improved intuitive handling and even simpler operation, making it easier than ever to integrate into daily workflows. HAND GUARD detects potential hazards in real time and proactively helps prevent accidents – without interrupting the work process. The system meets strict European safety standards and has passed extensive testing by accredited third-party institutions.
NEXUS IIOT – Digital support for workshops
The Altendorf’s NEXUS IIOT platform provides real-time transparency on machine status, supports maintenance and service processes, and helps structure day-to-day operations. For many INDIAWOOD visitors, it will be the first opportunity to see how digital tools can assist their workshop routines.
